About the Artist
Ethan Currier has been creating thought-provoking, whimsical sculptures out of stone since 2001. His work draws from the boundless beauty of our organic surroundings and celebrates the movement, playfulness and energy of the human spirit and nature.
After spending his childhood and young adult years living on boats and traveling around the world, Ethan learned early on to work with his hands using basic materials to create out of necessity, informing his art to this day.
By using natural stone, he is able to create a visual impact captivating and inviting viewers to look deeper at the spaces around us and inside of ourselves, while uncovering the natural beauty within the stones he selects. Ethan’s passion, imagination and vivacious spirit truly shine through in each of his sculptures.
Ethan’s sculptures can be found in collections in more than twenty states and seven countries, bringing smiles and joy to all who have the opportunity to soak in his work.
Ethan resides on Bainbridge Island, Washington with his partner, Kayla, their four daughters and their loyal pup.
